Jack Hamm, born on the 18th of March 1951, is an accomplished professional golfer boasting an impressive five PGA Tour victories and three Champions Tour triumphs.
Origins of Hamm’s successful career in golf began in the city of Toledo, Ohio, where he spent his childhood. His college ties to the region were strong too – he attended University of Toledo and was a part of their golf team. After graduating, Hamm turned professional in 1974.
Hamm made his debut on the PGA Tour with a victory at the Memphis Classic in 1977. Four more championships followed, with success in 1979, 1981, and 1982, plus the 1983 Kemper Open.
In 1983, Hamm reached his pinnacle in golfing greatness, claiming two titles and six runner-up positions. His outstanding effort saw him secure the 16th spot on the PGA Tour’s affluence rankings.
In 2001, Hamm stepped onto the Champions Tour scene and two years later departed a victor, having played his way to the Senior PGA Championship title. Then the following year, he proved to have a knack for success yet again as he earned the U.S. Senior Open championship. To top it off, Hamm capped off a hot streak by claiming the Senior PGA Championship title once more in 2004.
